Chief Toquer / 2019 St. George Parade of Homes
Designed by: Jeff Andrews
Built by: BR Homes

In 1776, Fathers Francisco Atanasio Dominguez and Silvestre Velez de Escalante, two Spanish explorers, were starving as they came into Toquerville where Paiute Indians were growing crops. The friendly Paiutes shared their food with the travellers and enabled them to continue on their path. Nearly 100 years later, in 1854 a group of settlers came to the valley and were welcomed by Chief Toquer. The settlers came to know Chief Toquer as a friendly, enlightened Indian, who showed great love and concern for his people, and named the town of Toquerville after him.

We were inspired by these two stories and chose to build a Spanish Colonial home in honor of Dominguez and Escalante and name the home after the great Chief Toquer. The layout maximizes the unobstructed views of Pine Valley Mountain and The Smith Mesa. Large windows and the design aesthetics emphasize open living spaces, abundant natural light, rich colors, and come together to create an elegant simplicity in style. We invite you to visit our home and fall in love with Toquerville. “Stop Visiting & Start Living” in our newly developed community, Mesa Views. Contact Sadie Lewis to reserve your lot today.
